ECON1101 MATHEMATICAL METHODS IN ECO I

This course introduces basic mathematical tools that are indispensable in modern economics. Topics include set, matrix, exponential and logarithmic functions, single-variable differentiation and optimization. Economic applications are also covered, including equilibrium analysis, comparative statics, and dynamic analysis.(Not for students who have taken, or are currently taking, any MATH course at or above 1000-level or ENGG2011, ENGG2012, ENGG2013, ENGG2014, ENGG2015, ENGG2018, or MAEG4070.)
